Bike carb return spring woes

Bike carb return spring woes

Hi so I have a question for you guys. Ive been running gsxr600 carbs on my 1.3 mk1 for around a year now, runs great good response and sounds fantastic.

Despite my joy with the carbs i have had something of a battle with the throttle cable. My linkage works fine. The problem is i find the cable 'sticks' and does not really return as quickly as i would like it too. The pedal is pretty soft and i would like some ideas of how to get it so the pedal has a bit more resistance to it, the stock springs just seem too weak :o

I know there are others on here with bike carbs/bodies. Wondered how you tackled this on your set ups?

Is the cable ok? tried a new one? Don't know any specifics about the carb setup but if it was me i'd try a spring on the pedal?

Whats goin on with your strut tops there mate?
